While a beautiful home, it was a complete cluster. With a potentially beautiful upstairs showcasing original, unpainted woodwork, a basement full of mechanics, and a two-thousand square foot “shed” impossible to annex, this home proved a challenge.
When replacing the HVAC system, we discovered that the basement antique furnace had to be removed, freeing up an entire room of extra space.
We opted to convert the basement into a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment, which is now being rented with Airbnb.
The upstairs bedrooms’ closets were reconfigured to provide room to build a master en-suite, small but efficient.
A fence was constructed separating the Airbnb apartment from the home, each with different entrances, allowing LAR Investments to keep the shed for working purposes.
